Developmental Soccer & Beginning Weight Training

                The purpose of the Developmental Program is to help incoming freshman athletes to make the transition from high school soccer to the college level and to allow them the opportunity to try out for the collegiate soccer team after one semester in the program.

                Students who participate in this program have several requirements to meet. In order to be eligible to try out for the soccer team in the spring, a student/athlete must:

 

·         Attend class regularly

·         Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA

·         Demonstrate an acceptable  level of athletic ability

·         Meet all NJCAA requirements to participate in intercollegiate athletics

 

*Grades will be determined by the students’ participation throughout the semester. You cannot participate in practices until copies of your physical, insurance, and waiver form are on file.

                9am T-W-TH: Training and Weight lifting

                Tactical work

                T-W-TH: Classroom sessions

                Film, Video, principles…if needed.

WEEK 7 to WEEK 12

 

                T-W-TH: Weight lifting and Training

                Scrimmages as schedule TBA

THANKSGIVING BREAK                

 

WEEK 13 & 14

                T-W-TH: Tests: Agility; Speed, Weights

                Scrimmages as schedule TBA

WEEK 16

Test week for regular classes

No athletic classes
